Selena Fortes is an associate attorney within the personal injury and medical malpractice practice area group of Marasco & Nesselbush. Serving the firm’s medical malpractice and personal injury clients, Selena passionately advocates for the injured and takes pride in utilizing a client-focused approach when providing direction and strategy for cases through all phases of litigation.

During law school, Selena interned for the Honorable Judge O. Rogeriee Thompson of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She also provided pro bono legal services to inmates at the Rhode Island Adult Correctional Institution Medium Security Facility. During Selena’s third year of law school, she joined Marasco & Nesselbush as an intern where she learned to navigate the complex legal concepts involved in personal injury and medical malpractice cases.
After graduation, Selena clerked for the Rhode Island Supreme Court Trial Court Law Clerk Department where she was assigned to the Honorable Daniel A. Procaccini of the Kent County Superior Court. She then returned to Marasco & Nesselbush as an associate attorney to begin her career as an advocate for the injured.
Selena graduated summa cum laude from Roger Williams University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies. She then graduated magna cum laude from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2020. She is admitted to the practice of law in the United States District Court, District of Rhode Island. Selena is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and the Rhode Island Association for Justice.
In her spare time, Selena enjoys indoor cycling, spending time with her family, and walking her French Bulldog named Lilo.
