Staff Positions


PI Claims Adjuster

Marasco & Nesselbush (M&N), a leading Personal Injury (PI), Medical Malpractice, and Social Security Disability law firm in Rhode Island, is seeking dynamic candidates for the position of PI Claims Adjuster. M&N has grown steadily over the years and is seeking a mid-level person with the experience to support is growing PI practice, primarily its auto claims.  Candidate also needs to demonstrate a successful track record of working independently and knowledge in the area of auto insurance claims  Salary is commensurate with experience. Ideal candidate has 5 – 10 years of experience.  We offer a competitive benefits package and outstanding work culture.

Job Duties

Working under the direction of a managing attorney:

  • Negotiate liability settlements with adverse carrier, claimants, and attorney on personal injury claims.
  • Handle files within statutes and claim handling guidelines.
  • Document and respond to all correspondence.
  • Communicate directly with clients

Skills and Qualifications

  • Good interpersonal, investigative, and negotiation skills required.
  • Ability to work well with supervising attorney.
  • Able to multi-task and handle large volumes of work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terms.
  • Strong computer skills and record tracking.
  • Must be energetic and motivated.
  • Second language a plus.
  • Prior experience in a personal injury firm a plus, but not required
  • High school diploma, college degree preferred

Intake Specialist

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform initial client telephone or in person conferences for Social Security, Worker’s Compensation, and Personal injury law practices
  • Enter client information into Needles (business software)
  • Call Web generated leads
  • Call after hour leads that come in through the answering service
  • Back up receptionist as required
  • Open new files for clients with unfavorable decisions who we will be representing again
  • Follow up with Initial Office Conference (IOC) potential clients
  • Schedule IOC’s & Reschedule any no shows


  • High school diploma, college degree preferred
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Friendly and patient personality
