Marasco & Nesselbush is very pleased to support the fine efforts of select nonprofit organizations in our community who provide help, support, information and assistance to our clients and their families. During the past three years, we are very pleased to have offered our support to many fine organizations, in recognition of the work that they are doing to improve people’s lives throughout our state and elsewhere in the world, in the name of humanitarian disaster relief.

Marasco & Nesselbush Employees Provide Thanksgiving Cheer
Recognizing that many of our clients and their families struggle to afford even the basics while they are disabled, the employees of Marasco & Nesselbush decided to assist six families with food support for Thanksgiving. We worked together to collect food and create six bountiful Thanksgiving baskets, which were awarded via raffle to six clients who entered our contest. All of our employees signed cards for the winners, and each basket also had a gift card for turkey or other fresh foods of the client's choice. Employees presented the baskets to their clients during Thanksgiving week. Congratulations to everyone who won Thanksgiving dinner on us!

Marasco & Nesselbush proudly sponsored the Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island's annual 5K walk and race in October. BIARI does amazing work with survivors of traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and provides information, advocacy and support to their loved ones. Our staff and friends were very proud to join others working to raise awareness of BIARI.

On October 16, Marasco & Nesselbush staff, families and friends participated in the JDRF 5K Walk for a Cure, held on a beautiful Sunday morning at Roger Williams Park in Providence. Diabetes affects many of our families, and juvenile diabetes is something we care very deeply about as a firm. The RI Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation does a great job educating people about juvenile diabetes and helping them access the resources they need. We are proud to support their work.

The Marasco & Nesselbush team participated in the 2011 Gloria Gemma 5K to support the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation on Sunday, October 9. Marasco & Nesselbush was proud to contribute $1,000 to assist the foundation's many programs and services for survivors and their families. Partner Joe Marasco and his family as well as our attorneys, staff, family members and friends of the firm participated.

Marasco & Nesselbush staff were pleased to join hundreds of others walking to support AIDS Project Rhode Island, a division of Family Services, in the 2011 Walk for Life. This annual event raised thousands of dollars to fund programs and services for people with HIV, and for prevention/awareness programs. Marasco & Nesselbush contributed $500.
