Auto Accident Lawyers in Rhode Island
In Rhode Island and Massachusetts, the behavior of
other drivers and other circumstances can make driving
daunting. In Southern New England and elsewhere, auto
accidents are ordinarily the result of someone’s
“negligence” (when someone does something they
should not, like drive too fast, drive while intoxicated
or run a red light), or someone’s failure to
do something they had a legal duty to do (such
as pay attention while driving). Car, truck, or motorcycle
accidents can be a result of distracted driving (texting
or cell phone use while driving), drunk drivers (driving
while intoxicated, or DUI), inexperienced or impaired
drivers, driving on icy or wet roads, road hazards (potholes,
animals or other things that should not be in the roadways),
hit and run drivers, road rage or any number of other
circumstances. An auto accident can cause tremendous
physical injuries and disruption of an individual’s
life. Through the years Marasco & Nesselbush attorneys
have fought for justice for injured drivers, passengers,
and pedestrians. In RI and MA, Marasco & Nesselbush
is a leader in personal injury law.

than they should have before they left and then they
drove, causing an accident)
- Wrongful death resultant of an auto accident
- Vehicular criminal conduct (e.g., hit and run accidents,
reckless driving)

the process as possible is important to ensure prompt
and full compensation for personal injury cases. Marasco

to promptly obtain evidence and witness statements to
establish fault or “liability.”
Marasco & Nesselbush’s professional

at each stage of the process. Insurance companies understand
that unless they offer our clients a fair settlement,
we will sue them and obtain justice in court, so that
you receive what you deserve. Because of our reputation
and willingness to fight for justice, we are generally
successful in obtaining excellent settlements for our
clients without them ever having to go to court.

You’re in An Auto Accident:
- Call 911 right away.
- Do NOT move your vehicle until a police officer
says it’s OK, unless it’s necessary for safety reasons.

help right away. If paramedics, EMTs, or police officers
advise you or your passengers to take an ambulance
to an emergency room, do it.
- Get the names, addresses, and phone numbers of everyone
who saw the accident happen (including other drivers
and people walking on the street).
- Get the names, addresses, drivers’ license numbers
and insurance information from all the other drivers
involved in the accident.
- If the person who hit you flees the scene before
the police arrive, try to get the license plate number.
Write down the plate number, state, color and model
of car, if possible.
- If possible, take pictures of the accident scene
and damage to all vehicles with a camera or cell phone.
