Joseph P. Marasco
Joseph
P. Marasco is a founding partner of Marasco & Nesselbush
and a lifelong resident of Rhode Island. Attorney Marasco
has successfully litigated, arbitrated and mediated
personal injury and medical negligence cases in all
of Rhode Island’s state and federal trial courts. He
has litigated hundreds of disability cases at all levels
of review before the Social Security Administration,
the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review, the
Appeals Council, and the United States District Court.
Attorney Marasco is an active member of the American
and Rhode Island Associations for Justice. He is a “sustaining
member” of the national Organization of Social Security
Claimants’ representatives.
Attorney Marasco is admitted to practice in Rhode Island
and the United States District Court for the District
of Rhode Island. Attorney Marasco has received recent
accolades for a 1.5 million dollar award for having
successfully litigated a wrongful death claim stemming
from an automobile accident. He has also received notoriety
for his trial advocacy which resulted in a precedent
setting favorable plaintiff’s verdict and an award of
$819,000 in a medical malpractice case.
Attorney Marasco is a 1986 graduate of the University
of Rhode Island, where he served with distinction as
President of the Student Senate/Student Body, and a
1991 graduate of Suffolk University School of Law, where
he received awards for professional ethics and trial
advocacy.
Donna M. Nesselbush
Donna
M. Nesselbush is a founding partner of Marasco &
Nesselbush. Attorney Nesselbush has dedicated her legal
career to representing Social Security disability claimants
at all levels of review before the Social Security Administration,
the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review, the
Appeals Council, and the United States District Court.
Together with her law partner, she is the founder and
chair of the Rhode Island Bar Association’s Social Security
Disability Committee.
Amongst her many accomplishments is a victory in the
United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit
resulting in an award of Social Security disability
benefits on behalf of a deserving client. Attorney Nesselbush
has lectured and written extensively on the topic of
Social Security disability law. She is an active member
of the American and Rhode Island Associations for Justice.
She is a “sustaining member” of the National Organization
of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.
Attorney Nesselbush is admitted to practice in Rhode
Island, in the United States District Court for the
District of Rhode Island, and in the United States Court
of Appeals for the First Circuit. She is a 1984 graduate
of Brown University, where she received the Sarah Doyle
Prize “for having made a significant contribution to
women on campus and in the community,” and she graduated
cum laude from Suffolk University School of Law, where
she was awarded the Leo J. Wyman Award for having “contributed
most to advancing the civic and professional responsibilities
of a lawyer.” Since 2004, Attorney Nesselbush has served
as a Municipal Court Judge for the City of Pawtucket..
Tanya J. Garrian
Tanya
J. Garrian has been an Associate Attorney with Marasco
& Nesselbush since 2001. Attorney Garrian is the
Managing Associate of Marasco & Nesselbush’s Social
Security practice, and she has dedicated her legal career
to representing Social Security disability claimants
at all levels of review before the Social Security Administration,
the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review, the
Appeals Council, and the United States District Court.
She is admitted to the practice of law in Rhode Island,
in the United States District Court for the District
of Rhode Island and in Massachusetts. Attorney Garrian
is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association’s Social
Security Disability Committee as well as of the National
Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.
She holds degrees from Wesleyan University, Roger Williams
University School of Law (Cum Laude), and Boston University.
Joseph P. Wilson
Joseph
P. Wilson has been an Associate Attorney with Marasco
& Nesselbush since 2004. Attorney Wilson has dedicated
his legal career exclusively to representing Social
Security disability claimants at all levels of review
before the Social Security Administration, the Office
of Disability Adjudication and Review, the Appeals Council,
and the United States District Court.
Joe has appeared before more than 100 different Administrative
Law Judges in 38 states while representing hundreds
of clients in Rhode island and throughout the country.
Attorney Garrian is a member of the Rhode Island Bar
Association’s Social Security Disability Committee as
well as of the National Organization of Social Security
Claimants’ Representatives.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Framingham State
College and from Boston University School of Law where
he was named a G. Joseph Tauro Scholar. Attorney Wilson
is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Mariam A. Lavoie
Mariam
A. Lavoie has been an Associate Attorney with Marasco
& Nesselbush since 2004. With over 20 years’ of
legal experience, she has successfully represented hundreds
of Social Security disability claimants at all levels
of review before the Social Security Administration,
the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review, the
Appeals Council, and the United States District Court.
Attorney Lavoie is a member of the Rhode Island Bar
Association’s Social Security Disability Committee as
well as of the National Organization of Social Security
Claimants’ Representatives. She also has extensive experience
in Personal Injury law. Attorney Lavoie graduated Phi
Beta Kappa from the University of Rhode Island and Cum
Laude from the Suffolk University School of Law. Attorney
Lavoie is admitted to the practice of law in Rhode Island,
Massachusetts, and the United States District Court
for the District of Rhode Island.
Mark H. Grimm
Mark
H. Grimm joined the law firm of Marasco & Nesselbush
in 2007, with over 25 years of experience as an attorney.
Throughout his legal career, Attorney Grimm has focused
on civil litigation, primarily in the areas of personal
injury and medical malpractice. With over 25 years of
trial experience, he has successfully litigated numerous
medical malpractice, personal injury and other civil
cases, obtaining multiple million dollar recoveries
on behalf of his clients.
Attorney Grimm graduated with honors from Brown University
and from Boston College School of Law. Attorney Grimm
has also served as an adjunct professor in legal and
medical malpractice at Roger Williams University School
of Law. He is licensed and admitted to the practice
of law in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, the United States
District Court for the Districts of Rhode Island and
Massachusetts as well as the United States Court of
Appeals.
Jennifer L. Belanger,
Esq.
Jennifer
L. Belanger joined the law firm of Marasco & Nesselbush
in 2008. Since joining Marasco & Nesselbush, she
has dedicated herself exclusively to representing Social
Security disability claimants. She has successfully
represented hundreds of Social Security disability claimants
at all levels of review before the Social Security Administration,
the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review, the
Appeals Council and the United States District Court
for the District of Rhode Island. Attorney Belanger
is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association’s Social
Security Disability Committee as well as of the National
Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.
She is admitted to the practice of law in Rhode Island
and in the United States District Court for the District
of Rhode Island. Attorney Belanger graduated magna cum
laude from Elmira College and received her Juris Doctorate
from Roger Williams University School of Law.
